How an IIT Kanpur-incubated startup is driving innovation in eco-friendly materials.

At Pacing Grass Pvt. Limited, sustainability is not just a goal—it’s the essence of our journey. Founded by Santosh Kumar, a mechanical engineer with a vision to combat the rising plastic pollution crisis, the company was born out of a deep commitment to creating innovative, eco-friendly materials that reduce environmental harm.

The story began in 2019 when Santosh traveled across India—from Assam to Tamil Nadu—researching sustainable materials. His discovery of bamboo fiber’s untapped potential, combined with agricultural residues, led to the creation of a unique bio-composite material. This innovation not only replaces plastic but also locks carbon, reduces CO2 emissions, and provides rural employment opportunities.

Pacing Grass’s journey has been supported by prestigious institutions such as SIIC IIT Kanpur, IIT Patna, and Nexus (US Embassy Program). Today, we offer a range of versatile, durable, and sustainable products, including tableware, industrial components, and custom-engineered solutions.

Every Pacing Grass product embodies our commitment to a circular economy, locking carbon within and promoting a greener, more sustainable future. Our story is one of innovation, responsibility, and hope—a story we invite you to be a part of.
